The best way to avoid wasting crawl budget on low-value-add URLs is to avoid creating links to those URLs, in the first place. However, that is not always an option. For example, you might need to allow people to filter products based on three or more product attributes. Alternatively, you may want to allow users to email to a friend from product detail pages. Or, you have to give users the option to write product reviews. If you create unique URLs for “Email to a Friend “ links, for example, you may end up creating duplicate content.
